For decades, Altura Airlines’ management company Maroomba Airlines has delivered reliable FIFO services across Western Australia’s most remote mining regions. Altura will build on that strong foundation, providing additional capacity, flexibility and focus for FIFO air services.

From remote mining sites to major regional centres, our Dash 8 Fleet is built for versatility. Alongside our Airbus A320 aircraft, our De Havilland Dash 8-100, Dash 8-300 and Dash 8-400 aircraft can operate from both sealed and unpaved runways, providing the flexibility to serve destinations that many operators cannot. Planning your charter with Altura Airlines

Altura Airlines operates air services designed around client schedules, destinations and operational requirements. Each flight is planned individually, with safety, reliability and coordination at the centre of every decision.

Our Terminal

All flights depart from the Maroomba Airlines terminal which is conveniently located at 123 Fauntleroy Avenue in the General Aviation precinct at Perth Airport. (Terminal 2 operations are also available if preferred).

Once checked-in, passengers are welcome to take advantage of the food and drink vending machines, and also use the complimentary Wi-Fi available within the terminal lounge.

Parking

Perth Airport: Secure day parking is available free of charge for Altura Airlines passengers. For all long term and overnight parking, Perth Airport offers facilities 200 metres from our terminal. For more details see Perth Airport.

Check in and boarding

Check‑in times and boarding arrangements are confirmed as part of your charter briefing. As a guide, passengers should be checked-in 30 minutes prior to boarding time to ensure on‑time departure. Final passenger instructions, including meeting points and boarding times, are provided by the Altura operations team prior to departure.

Identification requirements

All passengers are required to carry valid photo identification when travelling. Acceptable identification can be confirmed during charter planning and may vary depending on destination and client requirements.

Passengers without appropriate identification may be unable to travel.

Baggage and personal items

Baggage allowances are confirmed as part of the charter planning process and may vary depending on passenger numbers, payload requirements and destination.

Passengers are encouraged to pack within the advised limits and to advise Altura Airlines in advance of any oversized or special items. 

Dangerous goods

The carriage of dangerous goods is regulated under aviation safety regulations. Certain items are prohibited or restricted onboard aircraft. 

If you are unsure whether an item can be carried, please advise Altura Airlines operations team prior to travel so guidance can be provided.

Weather and operational conditions

Aviation operations are subject to weather, airspace availability and operational conditions. 

Altura Airlines continuously monitors conditions and works closely with clients to manage any impacts on flight schedules. Safety considerations always take priority, and changes may be required where conditions fall outside safe operating limits.

Remote and regional operations

Many Altura Airlines air services fly into regional and remote aerodromes. These environments require careful planning, including assessment of airstrip suitability, weather, fuel availability and contingency options. 

Passengers should be aware that operating conditions in remote locations can differ from major airports, and flexibility may be required.

If passengers have accessibility needs or require additional support, please advise Altura Airlines during the charter planning process so appropriate arrangements can be considered.
