About Us
Who we are
Altura Airlines is a proudly majority Indigenous-owned, community-driven private airline connecting people, projects and communities across remote and regional Australia.
We specialise in providing safe, reliable and flexible aviation solutions to the mining and resources sector, government and regional communities, helping keep essential operations moving while creating lasting social and economic value where we operate.
Founded through the partnership of Dr Amanda Healy a proud Wonnarua women, co-founder of Warrikal and Michael Evans and Phil Garcia, Maroomba Airlines, Altura Airlines brings together a unique blend of cultural backgrounds and industry experience.
This ownership shapes how we operate, how we partner, and how we define success – not only by performance, but by the positive impact we create.
Our business is built on agility, responsiveness and a deep understanding of the resources sector and the remote regions we serve. The Altura fleet enables fast, flexible movements for crews and project teams across Australia.
A strong safety culture underpins every aspect of our work, ensuring reliability and confidence for our clients. Our pilots, engineers, and operations team bring extensive experience in regional and remote aviation.
We operate in full compliance with aviation regulations and maintain rigorous safety and maintenance standards across our fleet and operations.
Designed by Nani Creative and Wongutha artist Kevin Wilson, the artwork represents movement, reflecting the journey Altura takes as it travels across Country.
The artwork is intended as a symbol in the sky, reminding us of First Nations histories and custodianship of the lands Altura flies across. The warm colours draw inspiration from Country and the changing light of sunrise and sunset – these being shared moments that connect people across different places.
